From the South - Leave M6 at junction 36 and take the Kendal Road for about 3 miles. Turn left onto A590 Barrow Road and continue for approximately 16 miles to Greenodd. Turn right onto the A5092 Workington Road and after about 3 miles, fork right onto the A5084 signed Coniston and Torver.

At Torver You come to a T junction with a Pub called The Wilson Arms straight ahead of you. Turn right onto the A593 Coniston Road. Pass the Church House Inn on your right. Then the church and the village hall and take the first left up the lane.

Northern Approach - From Ambleside Follow signs for Coniston along the A593. At Coniston continue along the A593 towards ‘Broughton-in-Furness for approximately 3 miles. Pass an old fashioned black and white ‘Torver’ sign, drive over a narrow stone bridge and turn immediately right.

To Access the Campsite - Proceed up the hill until you have a white cottage on your right (Scarr Head Cottage). Immediately ahead of you is a metal gate signed ‘Scarr Head’. This is next to a stone barn with a green roof and is the entrance to the campsite. Please pull in through the gate and then walk back out of the campsite and up the hill to Scarr Head Bungalow where someone will be on hand to show you to your pitch.

Visitors to caravans: Please drive straight up to the house.
